From Novice to Solo Ebony Fetish Queen: What Inspired You to Start Creating Adult Content?
I have been filming fetish videos on a semi-consistent basis since 2015. Custom video orders for unique fetishes started to roll in after I made my debut as a nude webcam model. I became active in the adult industry fresh out of high school by doing my first webcam on My Free Cams, shortly after my 18th birthday. I will celebrate being active in the adult industry for 13 years this year! Staying out of drama and having access to a great community of friends/peers has helped me stay strong over the years. I would not be where I am today without having access to community, I did not have access to a healthy community when I first entered the industry. It is hard working in the line of work with no support. I am SO grateful for the support I have today.
The Evolution of Queen Ava: How Has Your Solo Ebony Content Changed Over Time?
I’ve been following you for a while, and I’ve noticed your content has evolved significantly. What drove those changes, and what do you think has contributed to your growth as a creator?
My content has changed a lot over the last 12 years! As I have evolved more as a sexual being, so has my productions! I did not even know about a lot of the major niches I enjoy now when I entered the industry. Enlightenment and learning have contributed to so many changes in what I shoot. Solo masturbation content was the center of my early career. I am a squirter and doing that content served me well for the time. As the years passed, I curiously explored different fetishes and learned I loved some of them!

Your academic achievements are impressive. How did you balance your studies to graduate with a flawless GPA? What did you study in school?
Thanks for your kind words. I got my bachelor’s degree in general studies with a focus on marketing. My studies in college consisted of many graphic and web design classes. I have always had a passion for learning; I attended a visual arts school in my younger years where my passion for graphic design was born.
Attending college later in life came with struggles but it was also a blessing for me. Having a more mature mindset when entering college aided in my graduating with a 4.0. As I have grown more mature, my time management and work ethic have improved. My willingness to ask for help when needed has also grown over the years. My degree came with many hours spent in the tutoring lab 😉

I use many of the same time management strategies I used in college to manage my adult business. I block certain days for completing different tasks. Currently, I try to film videos for my clip stores at least three days a month or more. Having a wonderful video editor to help me is such a blessing (he is a lucky guy, hehe) I manage my clip stores and fan sites by myself. I also write all my own descriptions. I know it isn’t the case for some models (which is fine, no shade)…but when you message me on only fans, you are messaging me and not some agency!
I take pride in having time to chat with my fans. Staying organized is critical for getting everything done. Google Calendar and Sheets are life savers! I keep info on every clip ever made in a master spreadsheet. This makes it easy when I decide to try to sell on a new platform. When you’re not creating amazing content, what are some of your favorite hobbies or activities to unwind?
I enjoy creating digital media and love drawing on my iPad in ProCreate. Some of my favorite things to draw are portraits of influential people in history, interior design shots, and animals. My art style is modern and cartoony. This blog post is going to strictly Q & A with not much media but I do hope to post some of my art on my blog in the future!
I enjoy traveling and seeing new places…but when I am not traveling, I am mostly a homebody. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy reading (thriller, horror, erotica :P, history, graphic novels, comics, and autobiographies are my favorites). I also like watching TV and movies. Sometimes I like to unwind with something silly like love after lock up (don’t judge me). I also like documentaries and thriller movies. Shutter Island is one of my favorite movies.

Did you have any mentors or role models when you started? Who helped shape your approach to creating content, and what did you learn from them?
When I first started in the industry, I did not have any mentors. My interest in the adult industry was initially peaked by watching Cathouse: The Series on HBO. The thought of being a call girl and getting paid to get off excited me. I never ended up working as an escort but I am happy I found a fulfilling career as a fetish producer.
Finding community and peers I could relate to in my mid-20’s was life changing. Meeting people who I could collaborate and share ideas with, bettered me as a person and creator. The first hottie I ever collaborated with was Summer Hart. We volunteer together at a mutual aid run for and by sex workers. She is a kind person who has taught me a lot about the industry. Industry Insights: What’s the Most Important Lesson You’ve Learned So Far?
The most important lesson I have learned in the industry is kind of a dual-whammy. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket and also invest in yourself. There was a large chunk of my career that I focused primarily on selling used panties. I was a top seller on Pantydeal and had several hundred reviews. Most of the videos I produced catered around the panties and lingerie.
Getting kicked off Pantydeal was devastating. The consequences of putting all your eggs in one basket is having to start from scratch. In situations like these, you have to take the hurt and make it work! I diversified the type of content I shot and where I sold my goods. Branching out to tube sites for advertisement and listing my videos as PTV on clip stores has been one of my greatest career moves!

Posting my content in places where fans could check out and instantly download my videos without having to message me was a huge relief. Now that I have streamlined how I sell my spicy content, I spend more time producing smut and interacting with my fans who love me.
Transitioning from mostly webcam modeling and panty selling to clip production and phone sex has been a career move that has made me happy. I still sell panties and Skype with fans but I no longer sit on live stream for hours without tips or message people about buying my used underwear without being tipped first. What do you hope your legacy will be in the adult industry?
I want to be remembered by my fans and peers as a go-getter in the solo ebony niche who always gave back to the community.
